Sarah is my step-sister. Isabelle is her daughter. They could be the same person. It's so weird. Although from a big brothers perspective, Isabelle is much cooler than Sarah was at her age, she's always been quite stylish. That's why this backpack is named after her and her mini-me. I released this design while they were here in Winnipeg visiting from Indiana. I was struck by how in touch with modern trends she is and just wanted to honour her now that we're adults since I tortured her in our youth. has grown into an amazing multifaceted woman, a brilliant photographer, an amazing mother and a caring friend.
The Sarah-Belle mini-backpack is designed to fit the essentials you need to carry every day. While the full sized backpack is designed to fit a laptop, this piece is designed to fit a tablet, wallet, sunglasses, keys, etc. This piece converts from the on-trend mini-backpack to a small crossbody satchel. A multifunctional bag for a multifaceted character.
This version is made from limited edition veg tanned cowhide. Leather is such a magical material and this natural veg tanned leather is the best example of that magic. It's rugged enough to last for generations and when used regularly, will develop a beautiful patina. It will change different for everyone based on the way it is used. It tells the story of what it carries, where it has been and the way it is used.
